Months have flown by again between posts!

So this is how my copper bowl finished up...

Its been marked and I will collect it Monday. Yay! In the mean time I have cut a piece of Nephrite for Belinda Newick which will be in an exhibition in the Jam Factory (Adelaide) next year! I was so excited to be asked to cut this for her and really enjoyed getting back out to Nunawading Lapidary club. Work has been crazy busy as we are designing an online webshop so I have been taking pictures of the stock and researching like crazy. You can check out some of the photos on my works facebook page. So thats it for the time being. Started to get more motivated now the weather is getting a bit nicer so hopefully will have some things to post soon.

New Chapter

Well. School is over and done with. The last project is handed in to be honest the last class was a total non event. No word on when we can collect our pieces. No idea if we even get a certificate in the mail? Two and a half years and its just done! I really thought that Id take a break and do nothing for a while once school finished but Ive some how found my self even busier! Really excited to be able to go back out to my old lapidary club. I love cutting cabs but I honestly forgot just how much I enjoy it till I was back out there on Thursday. Aiming to look after this page a bit better from now on too!

Just bought this awesome 1940's silver Scarab bracelet at the Melbourne Antique Show. So excited! Always wanted a Scarab 'something' but never found one I could afford. All of its links need adjusting and one link appears to be a staple(!) but I couldn't be happier with my purchase! :-D

Ended up at the Melbourne Antiques Show unexpectedly. AMAZING things. On all weekend. Go if you can!

Started a new topic tonight at school. So far it looks like a bowl but it's got to end up more like a vase. Having heaps of fun so far!
